Who we work with

We work with a range of local and national health and care organisations to make sure that we are able to provide safe and joined up care to our patients.

Where we fit in the NHS

The NHS structure chart shows were we fit into the NHS.

The key national organisations we work with

Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The CQC makes sure hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries, and all other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care, and encourage them to make improvements. They do this by inspecting services and publishing the results on their website to help people make better decisions about the care they receive. The Trust takes the CQC's inspections and reports very seriously and we are committed to taking action to address any concerns raised by them. You can see the latest reports for our Trust on the CQC website.

NHS England

The main aim of NHS England is to improve the health outcomes for people in England. They support clinical leaders at every level of the NHS through clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), networks and senates, in NHS England itself and in providers, helping them to make genuinely informed decisions, spend taxpayers’ money wisely, and provide high quality services.

NHS Improvement

NHS Improvement (NHSI) is responsible for overseeing foundation trusts and NHS trusts, as well as independent providers that provide NHS-funded care. It offers the support these providers need to give patients consistently safe, high quality, compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable. By holding providers to account and, where necessary, intervening, NHSI helps the NHS to meet its short-term challenges and secure its future.

The key local organisations we work with

Integrated Care Systems

The NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for allocating NHS budget and commissions services. ICBs are a key change in the Health and Care Bill, and have replaced Clinical Commissioning Groups. These changes came into effect on 1 July 2022.

Integrated Care Boards are a statutory NHS organisations responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of the population, managing the NHS budget and arranging for the provision of health services in the ICS area.
