Who we are

We are a team of multi-skilled professionals providing care to people experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

What we offer

The Early Intervention Service offers treatment including:

  • Administration of anti-psychotic medicines
  • Cognitive behaviour therapy for psychosis and emotional problems, including depression and anxiety
  • Family interventions
  • Vocational recovery
  • Relapse prevention
  • A harm minimisation approach to substance misuse

People aged between 18-65 years of age, experiencing their first episode of psychosis, or those who are in the first three years of psychotic illness, living in Barnet.

How you can access our service

To be referred to this service please see your GP. Primary Mental Health Teams, Home Treatment Teams, Acute Mental Health Wards, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Accident and Emergency Mental Health Liaison Service, Complex Mental Health Teams and Leaving Care Teams can also refer to this service.
