Year 8 routine NHS HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) and catch-up MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccinations planned school sessions
Date: 22 September 2022
Year 8 routine NHS HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) and catch-up MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccinations planned school session.
The Enfield School Aged Immunisation Team will be visiting your child’s school to administer the above important vaccinations. These vaccines are part of your child’s routine childhood vaccinations (please see their red book for further details).
The vaccinations will only be administered routinely in year 8, to children of parents who have given consent. Please see the attached leaflets for more information about the preventable diseases they will offer protection against. You will be receiving an email from your child’s school with an electronic link to the consent form. Please do keep an eye out for this and check your junk folder.
Whatever your preferred option for the vaccinations, it is important that you reflect your choice in the relevant consent question on the form
It is important to note that if your child has already had 2 doses of MMR, they do not require any additional doses. The MMR vaccine is usually administered when your child is 1 years old, and a booster dose given before they start school. Please check your child’s red book to see if they have already had both doses of the MMR.
Should you have any queries about the vaccinations please contact the Enfield School Aged Immunisation Team by Email BEH-tr.EnfieldImmunisationTeam@nhs.net or by Telephone on 0208 7024829.
