As a leading provider of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) we are transforming and expanding the delivery of our services at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH). To support this investment in our services, we are also investing in our people not just by developing career pathways, but also by offering a ‘New to the Trust’ recruitment and retention financial incentive in the form of a ’Golden Hello’ payment.

Band 5, 6 and 7 Nursing vacancies attract £2,500 premia

We offer a £2,500 premia for nursing vacancies, which is designed to attract qualified applicants to nursing vacancies for Bands 5, 6 and 7 within our CAMHS. We want to encourage registered healthcare nursing professionals to join the team to develop the services available to children and young adults within the community.

The roles which attract the premium are solely for those within the CAMHS service line at this time. The term ‘New to the Trust’ means that applicants must not have been employed by the Trust for two years prior to their application to a role with the incentive attached. The financial incentive consists of one lump sum payment of £1,250 on appointment (and is subject to satisfactory completion of a 6-month probation period) and a second payment of £1,250 after 18 months of continuous employment with us. It is paid via the usual salary process and is subject to tax and national insurance contributions. 

Inpatient Consultant vacancies attract £5,000 premia

As part of the CAMHS quality improvement and transformation initiatives, we have attached an attractive £5,000 premia to all inpatient CAMHS consultant vacancies within our Barnet and Haringey boroughs. Eligibility criteria requires consultants to be new to the Trust, as described above, and includes only those applicants who have not been employed in any capacity for the Trust, for two years prior to the application to a role with the incentive attached.

Payment will be in two equal instalments, £2,500 on appointment (and is subject to satisfactory completion of a 6-month probation period) and a second payment of £2,500 after 18 months of continuous employment with the Trust. Payments will be made via the usual salary process and subject to tax and national insurance contributions.

The payments are awarded pro rata for part-time applicants. The payment is non-contractual and can be withdrawn at any time prior to new applicants.
