‘Someone Like Me’ recruitment campaign featured in the Nursing Times
Date: 19 May 2022

Our ambitious recruitment campaign to recruit local people to our Trust has been picked up by the Nursing Times. The ‘Someone Like Me’ campaign aims to encourage local people to come and work for us in a range of exciting roles including nurses, therapists, doctors and other healthcare roles.
The campaign showcases the working lives of those within the Trust, as well as the diversity of staff we employ to encourage more local people to consider a career with BEH.
It’s the biggest recruitment campaign BEH has ever run and is designed to fill existing vacancies as well as fill a large number of new posts created through additional funding for community mental health services.
Discussing the initiative, BEH Chief Nurse Amanda Pithouse explained that the Trust is transforming our community mental health services in order to “deliver care closer to home and avoid inpatient admissions. We need more staff to be able to do that and to respond to people in crisis.
“So it’s not only the normal turnover of staff that any organisation would have, we are also opening up new roles.”
