To celebrate this across the C&I and BEH Partnership, our Networks have organised a range of in-person and virtual activities.

Event 1 - Wednesday 8 March - 10:00-12:00
Celebrating International Women’s Day 2023 - With a focus on the theme of #EmbraceEquity, the day will start with an early morning Tweet chat at 7.30am – 8.30am.
The celebrations will continue with a virtual event, where you will hear from NHS Chief Executive, Amanda Pritchard; our network chair, Samantha Allen and many more. You will also be inspired by presentations from organisations that are doing great work to progress gender equality and make a positive difference for women working in health and care.

Event 2 - Wednesday 8 March - 14:00-15:30
C&I and BEH International Women’s Day Celebration ‘Celebrating Women’
Hosted by C&I, an event for all women and allies working in or using C&I and BEH Trust services to raise up your voices. Opportunities to hear from the C&I Black Women’s Forum, Women’s Strategy group, the BEH Women’s Network Chair and the Women’s Group at Southwood Smith and of course from all of you! You are welcome to read a poem, sing a song, raise awareness of women you admire, or you can come and just be in the space.

Event 3 - Monday 13 March - 14:00 - 15:00
In conversation with Banji Adewumi Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion The University of Manchester since 2021.
Meet Banji and learn how The University of Manchester is providing support advocating for greater gender parity including their gender equality work and the women’s leadership development programme ‘Aurora’. Award winning Banji was EDI Associate Director for Barts Health for nine years and led the agenda across five hospitals and more than 16,000 staff.

Event 4 - Tuesday 14 March - 10:00-11:00
Child/Adolescent to Parent Violence and Abuse (CAPVA) The Safeguarding Hubs in C&I and BEH, and AR-DSA network invite you to a Domestic Abuse learning session looking at Child/Adolescent to Parent Violence and Abuse (CAPVA).
With Guest Speaker: Dr Amanda Holt, who has completed several research projects on adolescent family violence, and has worked with the UK Home Office to produce the first UK policy guidance on the issue. She has also been a keynote speaker at international conferences and has appeared on national radio and television, including Women's Hour (Radio 4), Channel 5 News and Newsnight (BBC1).

Come and Join the BEH and C&I Wellbeing Teams who will be hosting a face to face meet and greet. On the day you can meet a dietician/nutritionist, get free giveaways, cakes, hot drinks, play bingo, hear wellbeing talks and updates on menopause support in the workplace along with other support available to women.

With Neurodiversity Celebration Week taking place the week after International Women’s Day, it is more important than ever for us to consider why there are more women and girls coming forward identifying as neurodivergent.

- The challenges and benefits of having a diagnosis
- Which accommodations and support can be most beneficial
