Helping everyone to get timely mental health care and support

Date: 08 October 2021

World Mental Health Day

To mark World Mental Health Day, NHS mental health trusts in North Central London re-affirm their commitment to work with communities to make sure everyone can get more timely help and support.

The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day is ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’. Across North Central London, we know people from some communities don’t always get the help and support they need. Too many are diagnosed with serious mental health conditions in hospital after a crisis.

Over the next three years, we’re investing millions of pounds and recruiting hundreds of frontline workers to expand services to make sure everyone in our community can get timely help and support with mental health challenges.

We’re rolling out new neighbourhood services to provide holistic and personalised care and support that addresses people’s mental health, physical health and social needs. We’ll also work with communities to further develop services and programmes to connect those who haven’t always been able to get the care and support they need to mental health services.”
