Who we are
We use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking account of variations in health status. Community physiotherapy educates, supports, and cares for patients with a wide range of conditions, aiming to help them maximise their functional ability to perform everyday tasks and be as independent as possible within their home environment. We work closely with other colleagues from health, social care and the voluntary sector on delivering patient focused care.
What we offer
- We provide a home visiting service for patients who are housebound
- Specialist falls prevention
- Neurological services on an outpatient basis at our St Michael’s site
We provide assessment and treatment planning, as well as a range of support services. This support can take various forms, for example, we will provide patients with exercise programmes, education about their condition and self management, we can complete outdoor mobility practice and signpost them to other relevant services and activities which maybe of benefit to the long term.
Who the service is for
The service is available for patients who live in the London Borough of Enfield, and who have a Barnet, Enfield or Haringey GP.
How to access the service
Patients who feel they would benefit from this service should discuss this with their GP or other health care professional who will make a referral on their behalf.
