What We Offer

The North Middlesex HIV Clinical Psychology Service aims to provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention of proven effectiveness, for emotional problems that people affected by HIV present with, and to the services and staff who provide them. The service maintains that psychological health is a vital aspect of health in general and uses affirmative approaches in relation to the diversity of sexual and reproductive lifestyles and problems encountered. In addition, the service facilitates stepped emotional support provision to HIV patients, as advocated by the Standards for Psychological Support for Adults Living with HIV (2011) by supporting staff and developing networks in this area.
