Who we are
Enfield Memory Service consist of; Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Independent Nurse Prescriber, Occupational Therapist, Associate Health Worker, Consultant Psychiatrists, Team Secretaries, Receptionist and Admin Manager.
What we offer
The service provides specialist assessment to people over 65 years and over, who have concerns about their memory getting worse. It also provides diagnosis and treatment, advice and support to both the patient and their family/carer, advice and support to access local and national support services, and liaison and feedback to your GP.
What can I expect when I am here?
Once a referral is received we will offer you an assessment which can take up to 2 hours. We ask that you attend the appointment with a relative, or friend who knows you well.
We will also refer you for a head scan, either an MRI or CT scan at Chase Farm Hospital. At the end of your assessment, we will feedback to you. If required we will offer you a follow-up appointment. When feeding back we will discuss a treatment and support plan with you and your relative/friend.
We will write to your GP following your assessment.
How you can access our service
Referrals are received from GPs via the Enfield Assessment Service. We will need the results of blood tests, arranged by your GP. This is to help identify any physical cause to your memory problem.
