Who we are
We are a multi-skilled team of mental health professionals providing intensive care and support in patients homes as an alternative to acute inpatient admission.
What we offer
The home treatment team will carry out an assessment and wherever appropriate will provide intensive support for a limited period within the service users home. They will work closely with care coordinators to ensure that care is offered within the least restrictive environment.
If the clinical risks indicate that admission is required then home treatment teams are the gatekeepers of the inpatient beds and will arrange an admission within either one of the assessment wards or in the case of service users well known to services who already have a clear treatment plan, one of the acute wards.
Who is the service for
People in acute mental health crisis living in Barnet, Enfield or Haringey aged 16 and over
How you can access our service
The service line accepts referrals from the community teams and from primary care mental health teams when someone is in an acute mental health crisis and may need admission to an acute bed.
