Supporting the NHS Long Term Plan

NHS long term plan

The NHS has published its Long Term Plan following last June’s announcement of a £20.5bn annual real terms uplift for the NHS by 2023/24.  The plan covers a 10 year window and sets out ways to ensure the NHS is fit for the future. A consultation and engagement period will now begin on the plan, running until the summer.

BEH CEO Jinjer Kandola says, “I welcome this plan, and its ambition, I am pleased to see it highlighting the importance of community services.  I believe this is a good plan for the NHS and that we should all support it, particularly as we will realise a £2.3billion investment ring-fenced for Mental Health services.  This money is important because it will help us to deliver even better quality services to aid people with their recovery journey, and help us with our Enablement approach to providing bespoke patient care.”
