The North London Forensic Service has developed some of its services.  Two previously medium secure wards have been changed to low secure services.  These wards previously named Saffron ward and Dhania ward at Camlet 2 are now renamed to Severn ward and Derwent ward at Regent House (previously Camlet 2).  These newly named wards function together with Blue Nile House as the low secure services of the North London Forensic Service.  The new wards officially became low secure on 15^th April 2013 and building work will start in June/July 2013 to modify and improve the environments of both wards as well as increase the bed occupancy on Derwent ward with three new bedrooms.

Severn ward is managed by Abdallah Ramankahn and Derwent ward is managed by Jabu Chikore with Phil Jackson as project lead overseeing the new changes and low secure services.

Blue Nile House

Blue Nile House is a 15 bedded male low secure step down unit that opened in June 2009. It caters for those patients requiring low levels of security.  It provides male patients with a step down (from medium security) opportunity to move back into the community.

Devon Ward is a low secure Intensive Care Unit is used by the forensic service and general mental health services in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. This service provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation tailored to meet an individual patient’s needs and is provided at a pace suited to the patient.
