Who we are

The CMHT is a community based team which offers assessment, treatment and support for older adults with mental health problems living within the borough of Haringey.

What we offer

We work closely with service users and families and can offer a range of services and support. The team comprises of different disciplines who can offer care coordination to patients with high need and also short term, time limited support. For those who do not require intensive support, appointments can be offered within our outpatient clinic by one of our Consultant Psychiatrists. All service users will receive an assessment by one of our team doctors to assess their level of need prior to being offered further services.

The CMHT is supported by a Psychology service which is able to offer psychological therapies and a Specialist Dementia Service (SDS) nurse who is able to support with managing challenging behavior in the community.  Haringey Memory Service (HMS) also work alongside the CMHT and are able to provide specialist assessment for those with a diagnosis of

How you can access the service

Referral to our service should be made by a GP. Our team can be accessed by anyone with a functional or organic mental health problem over the age of 65. Referrals made by a GP should be sent directly to the Triage Service.
